20 years after the murder of his beloved dog, Cluebert, a familiar case comes across the desk of FBI agent, Scrags. All signs point to this being the suspect who ruined his life, but he’s not going to be able to catch him without the help of his childhood detective gang, the Solve It Squad.
Distant in their adult lives and all dealing with their childhood trauma differently, the rest of the gang is a far cry from the quippy and successful kid detectives they used to be. Keith, the jock and self-proclaimed leader of the group, has become a delusional bum desperately attempting to keep his glory days alive. Gwen, the popular hottie, hit it big by exploiting the group’s notoriety to land a series regular role on a procedural cop show, but is now struggling to keep her career afloat. Esther, the real brains of the team, has turned to hard drugs to calm their out-of-control intelligence and has fallen completely off the grid.
Can Scrags get the squad to put aside their differences and rewrite their past in order to catch the maniac who broke them up in the first place?

Four years after the death of his partner Owen, super spy Curt Mega struggles to return to his former glory, masking his grief & guilt with charisma & booze. But when the American Secret Service (A.S.S) uncovers a plot to rebuild the Nazi empire, Curt is thrust into the field to save the world once again. Equipped with a license to kill and the voice of an angel, Agent Mega must team up with a double-crossing Russian femme fatale, infiltrate opulent casinos, and outsmart an outrageous horde of villains from a black market arms dealer to the Deadliest Man Alive. With shadowy Cold War politics & advanced technologies quickly changing the world of espionage, it’s time for Mega to face the music and ask himself: does a future even exist for a suave gentleman spy anymore?
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
+ How much does it cost to license a TCB show?
Licensing costs vary depending on the show! Check out the Guidelines & Fees for individual project rates. Additional licenses are offered for those who wish to livestream, film, and/or distribute their production.
+ Are the licensable versions of TCB shows the same as the versions on YouTube?
Predominantly, yes. However, some lyrics & lines have been updated for clarity and inclusivity. Please adhere to these updates, which we believe improve the quality of our shows, rather than copy the YouTube versions of the shows verbatim.
+ Do "school appropriate" versions of the scripts exist? Can I make cuts/changes to the material?
We do not have a seperate school edition script, as different theatre companies have individual content requirements.
Instead, we offer school-appropriate alternatives have been pre-approved for lines with adult language or themes.
Other changes or alterations of any kind, including but not limited to: adding, deleting or otherwise changing music, lyrics, dialogue, time period, characters, characterizations, and character genders in the play are not allowed. Additional requested changes must be submitted to Tin Can Bros so that the written consent of the authors, if granted, may be obtained prior to performance.
+ Can we omit the song “Not So Bad” from our licensed production of Spies Are Forever?
No, the number “Not So Bad” may not be omitted from licensed productions of Spies Are Forever. (We understand that this may preclude some organizations from being able to perform the show based on your community needs.)
We feel that by skipping that number, you lose an opportunity for the production to undercut the seriousness of the Baron and highlight his ideological absurdity. By weakening the satirical characterization, it may have the opposite of the intended effect and give him more credibility.
